"The time has come for us to talk"
Said the father to his son.
"It seems you just learned to walk
And now your high schools done.”
“There's many things you should know .
About this world of ours.
I've tried to tell you as you grow
But the years have passed like hours."
"Lets start with the birds and bees
Before you go to the prom.”
The boy said "Have no worries
I've seen how you treat mom."
"Well let's talk about respect
For others that you will meet."
The boy said "What do you expect,
I'll be like you, discreet.”
"Is anything troubling you,
Can I help you in any way?”
"I'll just do what you would do."
Is all the boy had to say.
The father then saw one thing clear
He knew for certain, it was a fact
There was nothing for the boy to hear
He had already shown him how to act.
