The Great King once gave me a treasure of value beyond all belief, then He said “Go and see how you measure! May your journey be joyous and brief.”
I was given a man to help guide me, and a woman to tend to my need. It would be a most wondrous journey, a most wondrous journey indeed.
We first came upon people just like us, traveling down the same road.
So we paused and took time to discuss the best ways to carry our load.
Thus I met my first woman of the world, lavishly clothes at great cost. With conniving my affections were twirled, and part of my treasure was lost.
I met and made many more false friends with the passing of every new dawn. I learned false pleasures and evil old trends, and more of my treasure was gone.
My guides gave me advice and wise counsel,
as they both served and were concerned. Until both were summoned and with no farewell, back to the Great King they returned.
I then met a young lady that understood truth, with many treasures of her own.
So we both vowed and committed, there in our youth to serve each other and not be alone.
Mistakes? We both have made plenty I know, at the many forks in the road, but they taught us both which way to go,
and how to help with everyone’s load.
Each lesson has helped us both keep our treasures, and increased them more than a score. We have learned the cost of all the false pleasures. We have learned what the journey was for.
