Silent Screams

    “Help me!” they cry,
    But their voice isn’t heard.
    They don’t want to die,
But they can’t say a word.

    Are there others out there
    who can hear their plea?
    The cry seams so clear,
    is it only for me?

    The clinics keep going,
    the children they slaughter,
and the cries keep on flowing
    like a wave without water.

    Then a group called pro-choice
    say the killings are right.
    For they hear no voice
    or screams in the night.

    Yet the smallest young child
has his heart filled with fear,
and his scream is so wild,
but only I seem to hear.

Oh, what can I tell you,
    what can I write?
When you “choose” what to do
    will your child scream tonight?
