Metamorphosis

Feelings aroused by youth in full blossom
Withstanding the test of loves first season
Brings forth a new joining into the kingdom
And the bonding grows stronger without a reason.
 
A oneness that grows and thrives on the giving
Protected from harm by the armor of trust
Both laughter and tears stirred into the living
A soil created by mixing water with dust.
 
The purpose of joining three times fulfilled
As decades decay like ice without shade
Emotions evolving as each weakness is killed
Levels above for which they had prayed.
 
God's wisdom and patience was always a shroud
This flickering flame has flourished and grown
Until it burned off life's obscuring cloud
And the joy of real love was finally known.
